Introduction
Common causes of Shoulder pain
Does it hurt when you lie on it? Does it keep you awake at night? Is your pain localised to your shoulder or are you feeling it down your arm too?
Your shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in the body. However, this flexibility also means the surrounding muscles have to work perfectly, making it more susceptible to injury.
Some shoulder problems arise from the disruption of muscles, tendons, and ligaments as a result of injury or from overuse or underuse of the shoulder. Other problems arise from a degenerative process in which tissues break down and no longer function well.
